Roehrs & Boetsch presents Table of Contents – A Collection in Glass by Fabrica

The Zürich gallery Roehrs & Boetsch and Fabrica have teamed up for the development of Table of Contents – A Collection in Glass.

Roehrs & Boetsch asks more of design than pure functionality and aesthetics, which is clear in the works designed by Fabrica, the Benetton communication research center based in Italy. The designed object itself gains its importance primarily through the conceptual problem that it addresses, giving the pieces in question a special energy as they explore new territory - in unique, creative and often unexpected ways.

In the designs that make up Table of Contents, glass is a medium for questioning human nature and perception. Under the creative lead of Sam Baron an international team of 14 designers draw from their cultures, their skills and their desire to create pieces that tell stories, challenging the notion of objects and their presence in our environments. Within this collective assemblage, glass is the common denominator, lending a multi-dimensional transparency to the concept of containing, highlighting or protecting each narrative.

Roehrs & Boetsch was founded in January 2016. Its exhibitions explore the many facets of design, focusing in particular on conceptual approaches that inherently push the boundaries between contemporary design and art.
