Gallery Franck Laigneau was opened in 1998, near Musée d’Orsay. First specialized in historical design with Jugendstil, Franck Laigneau is now focusing on Anthroposophical design.
The Anthroposophical movement emerged in the early twentieth century from a total-art dream that inspired Rudolf Steiner. Anthroposophy is originally a school of thought that combines spirituality and materiality for a better humanity.
According to Steiner, the thought can also be translated into forms and colors. Everything by which we are immediately surrounded in life takes on an artistic form. Furniture is capable of vivifying the environment. Its approach to design is organic functionalism.
